The opening of the first International Advertising Forum in Moscow has heard that Russia's advertising market is growing by 30% annually.

The chairman of Moscow City's Advertising, Information and Design Committee, Vladimir Makarov, says the business here is worth about $US 5 BLN and that Russia is one of the four fastest growing markets. And although the advertising industry in Russia is only about 20 years old, Makarov says it has already outgrown its youth. “Now advertising is becoming more mature in Russia and the forum is aimed at implementing the task of making the industry grown-up, up-to-date and high-tech,” observed Mr Makarov.
