“Kalashnikov is one of the most popular brands that come to mind for most people in the world when they hear about Russia,” said Kalashnikov's head of marketing, Vladimir Dmitriev, in a press release.

Kalashnikov’s flagship product, the AK-47, was the first assault rifle introduced by the manufacturer in 1948. The rifle has acquired an iconic status thanks to its low input costs and reliability in extreme conditions. The AK-47, also produced under license outside Russia, is still one of the most popular rifles in the world.
