‘I’d never seen snow before’ – Brazilian phygital footballer shares impressions after Games of the Future

Brazilian Rodrigo Pimpao from the phygital football team R10 has shared with RT his impressions from taking part in the Games of the Future in Kazan.

“A friend told me about the competitions. I remember that the idea of combining real sports with virtual ones immediately seemed interesting. I can only say I'm happy to be part of such a grand event,” Pimpao said.

“I've never been here [in Russia] before. I played in many countries – Japan, South Korea, UAE, Iran, but it's the first time I came to Russia. To be honest, I'm very impressed. Kazan is a beautiful city. All the arrangements are top-notch.

“The overall impressions are quite unusual. I mean I hadn't even seen snow before. Here, there are whole mountains of it. I was so amazed I grabbed my phone and started taking pictures the moment I saw it. I sent the photos to my friends and family. Can't say they were shocked, but they were impressed. You can't imagine such weather in Brazil,”

he added.
