Russian Liga Pro Team beats R10 Team USA and wins phygital basketball tournament at Games of the Future

The phygital basketball tournament at the Games of the Future, which are being held in Kazan, has ended.

In the tournament’s finals, the Russian Liga Pro Team defeated R10 Team USA and won the gold medal.

Another Russian team, URAL BASKET, won the bronze medal, overwhelming MDMX from China.

Result of the finals: R10 Team USA (USA) vs Liga Pro Team (Russia) – 32-34 (19-18 simulation, 13-16 physical).

Result of the third-place match: URAL BASKET (Russia) vs MDMX (China) – 40-26 (19-16, 21-10).

The Games of the Future is an innovative international tournament of 21 disciplines held in Kazan from February 21 to March 3, 2024. More than 2,000 athletes from around the world are taking part in the competition.

The Games of the Future combine competitions in the physical and digital domains, ‘phygital’ (physical + digital), testing athletes’ skills in the real and virtual worlds.
