Tatarstan awards Lukashenko ‘Order of Friendship’ at Games of the Future

Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the Order of Friendship to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko at the Games of the Future.

“Maybe it’s even a good thing that exogenous factors have pushed us closer together. We stopped arguing over nothing. We realized that we don’t have too many friends (and maybe we don’t have any real friends at all), and that we have to build our fortune ourselves,” Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko arrived in Kazan for the opening of the Games of the Future.

The Games of the Future will be held in Kazan from February 21 to March 3. The program includes competitions in 21 disciplines at ten sports venues in Kazan and Sochi. The opening ceremony was held on February 21 and the closing ceremony will be on March 3.
