The issue of capital punishment may become a bone of contention between the EU and Russia, the only big country in Europe that has yet to completely abolish the death penalty.
With a moratorium on capital punishment in Russia scheduled to expire in January, RT talks about the issue with Ekaterina Kuznetsova from the Center for Post-Industrial Studies in Moscow.

Where the crime is horrific and where there is no question as to the guilt of the accused, then the death penalty should be imposed. Perhaps the decision could be made by the jury. As for the EU: what a pack of frightened rabbits they are.
