Pregnant soldiers face possible jail time

The U.S. general in charge of northern Iraq says soldiers who become pregnant or father a child while serving –can be subjected to military justice.

He said the pregnancy offense is punishable with jail time. Moreover, this punishment is totally lawful, according to authorities.

Megan McCloskey from the Stars and Stripes military newspaper told RT: “There are lots of things he could prohibit, for example there have been prohibitions against marrying or being involved with local persons or somebody who is Afghani or Iraqi”.

She believes soldiers see this as an infringement on their personal choices.
