Islamophobia, America’s new anti-communism

Islamophobia was quick to rise after the 9/11 attacks in the US but recently it has emerged again, following controversial plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero, with President Obama backing the decision.

Online show host Lori Harfenist, also known as the Resident, asked people in New York whether Islam poses a real threat to American values.

The bottom line is, no matter how you feel personally, for some the anti-Islamic sentiment is very real, though most of those preaching Islam “are very good people.”
