Football fans watching the World Cup quarterfinal match between Brazil and Belgium have expressed their pleasure at an usual abundance of afro haircuts among the players in both teams.
An array of afro styles are on offer from Brazilian players Willian, Marcelo, and Belgian midfield duo Marouane Fellaini and Axel Witsel, fans have focussed more on the players' head hair rather than their footwork.

Twitter users have even stated they have a reduced interest in the football on display, and instead have suggested the game be decided on which team has the best afro haircuts.

In the match at Sochi's Fisht Stadium, Belgium scored two first half goals courtesy of a Fernandinho goal from a Nacer Chadli corner, replays suggested the ball came off his arm, and a wonderful precision strike from Kevin De Bruyne after Romelu Lukaku had bounded forward on the break.

The winner will meet France in the semifinal held in St Petersburg on July 10. Les Bleus beat Uruguay 2-0 in Nizhny Novgorod earlier on Friday.
