Mexico’s run at Russia 2018 has come to an end after goals from Neymar and Roberto Firmino’s secured the South American side’s place in the last eight with a 2-0 win inside the Samara Arena.
Five-times winners Brazil have done their part in setting up a tantalizing quarter final clash with Belgium as Neymar’s 57th international goal and a late strike from Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino eased them into the latter stages of a competition in which they must be considered among the favorites to win.

Neymar, meanwhile, has taken the brunt of the criticism for what many fans saw as unsportsmanlike play-acting during the game.
