Syrian revolution: Iraq 2.0?
People who opposed the intervention in Iraq are now strongly in favour of intervention in Syria. As the West green-lights ‘game-changing’ weapons shipments to the rebels, we still hear the narrative that Assad is cracking down on civilians forced to defend themselves. Is this a fair description of the conflict, or just an excuse for yet another military intervention?
