Broken record? Evgeny Minchenko, political consultant

In less than two weeks, Russia went from the highs of voter enthusiasm, which saw Vladimir Putin elected to another term, to the lows of grief and rage over the Kemerovo tragedy, which left over 40 children dead due to negligence and corruption. Add to that the largest expulsion of Russian diplomats from the West and the threat of a major military confrontation over Syria, and Putin’s new term is off to a rocky start.
