As cities have evolved over decades and centuries, so have the buildings that define them. But with increasing urban development pressures, many historic buildings are being destroyed to make way for modern ones. Is it always economically and culturally beneficial to approach development in this way, and what can we do to preserve heritage, from urban areas to conflict zones? Oksana is joined by Donovan Rypkema, a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Historic Preservation program, to examine these issues.
