The relationship between Russia and the West was difficult, albeit workable until the Ukraine crisis. But with Cold War fears and animositiesre-emerging, the West has returned to shouting at rather than speaking to Russia. Could the West benefit from a more conciliatory tone and respectful approach to Russia's interests? And what are the areas in which the two sides could find common ground?
