A tale of 2 states, plastic problems and FIFA flops (E044)

In this episode of Watching the Hawks, Tyrel Ventura, Tabetha Wallace and Sean Stone discuss the problems facing youth in Israel and Palestine, including lack of job opportunities and financial struggles. The Rand Corporation suggested a two-state solution would be best, but politics stands in the way of any progress. Next they discuss a new invention by a young Dutchman, Boyan Slat, who created a way to suck out plastics piled up in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch at a fraction of the cost of existing proposals. They also discuss the failure of the FIFA-sponsored movie about FIFA and Sepp Blatter’s role of being a corruption destroyer. The movie was released in the US just days after the charges were announced.
