Episode 094

After almost half a century of occupation, Palestinians appear to have risen up to try and shake it off. The Third Intifada appears to have broken out. David Hearst has peerless knowledge and experience in reporting on this struggle; the former foreign editor of the Guardian and now the editor of the highly respected Middle East Eye joins Sputnik. Exactly 50 years ago a US-organized military coup overthrew the elected government in Indonesia. They imprisoned President Sukarno and hundreds of thousands of others, then massacred perhaps 3 million more. Sukarno's crime was to be leader of an oil-rich nation which didn't toe the US line.
