The UN peacekeeping forces have been under attack after a leading UK children's charity said it had uncovered evidence of widespread sexual abuse of children at the hands of UN peacekeepers. What are the positive effects that the UN has? And why does it mostly deal with peacekeeping in post-conflict situations rather then in preventing them?
