The recent terrorist attack on Russia’s biggest airport Domodedovo brought the problem of suicide killers to the public eye again. The authorities are turning to metal detectors and other hi-tech devices they believe will help filter the bombers. But critics say we need to re-introduce fieldwork and an agent network.
