June 12 is a huge holiday here in Russia. On this day in 1990 our country, as we know it today, first sounded its voice proclaiming sovereignty. The USSR had been agonizing by that time, and collapsed very soon afterwards – opening up a new page in history.
Our guest today is the man who watched the process from the inside: former people’s deputy in the Russian Supreme Council, Sergey Baburin.
