1996 - Party of Peace and Unity formed
1998 - Party registered at Russian Justice Ministry
2000 - All-Russian Social Movement for the Russian President's policy is created on party initiative
2006 - Party of Peace and Unity registered for a second time at Russian Justice Ministry
2007 - Currently has more then 57,000 members

The parliamentary election will take place in Russia on December 2. On that day the lower chamber of Parliament, the State Duma, will be elected according to party list proportional representation system. More than a dozen political parties are campaigning for seats in parliament and today we’re introducing Sazhi Umalatova - leader of The Party of Peace and Unity.
