When Barack Obama came to power four years ago, Russia-US relations changed dramatically. It’s been the time of friendship and cooperation rather than stand-off, commonly called “the reset”. In 2012, a power shift has already happened in Russia, and in a few days we will know if it happens in America. Whoever wins the presidential race there, US foreign policy will change. The only question is HOW it will change. We’ll discuss it today with an American historian and former adviser to George HW Bush, a renowned expert on Russia-US relations, Stephen Cohen.
