One year of Medvedev's presidency

Economist and Rector of the New Economic School in Moscow Sergey Guriev and Political Scientist and Editor-in-Chief of the Russia in Global Affairs journal Fyodor Lukyanov

Today we will talk about the Russian presidency. It is one year since Dmitry Medvedev was elected President of the Russian Federation. When he came to replace Vladimir Putin there were a lot of expectations, and plenty of speculation as well. Now we have an excellent opportunity to assess the accuracy of all the theories which circulated one year ago, comparing it to what is really happening in Medvedev's Russia now. Our guests in the studio today are Economist Sergey Guriev and Political Scientist Fyodor Lukyanov.
