Motor rally to the North Pole
Vasily Elagin, Head of the Sea Ice Automobile Expedition 2009 and constructor of the Yemelya vehicle
A new record in the exploration of the Arctic was set on April 26 when, for the first time in history, wheeled cars reached the North Pole. Two Russian-made Yemelya experimental vehicles have traveled over 1,100 kilometers across the drift ice of the Arctic and reached the North Pole. Vasily Elagin, the head of the Sea Ice Automobile Expedition 2009 and constructor of the Yemelya vehicle, is our guest today.
