Today we will discuss two of the problems facing the newlyelected president of Russia - education and science. These two subjects were named by the current president Vladimir Putin among the priorities of his presidency and Dmitry Medvedev has been responsible for the National Projects for the last two years. Our guest today is a close ally of both men. Lyudmila Verbitskaya, the President of Saint Petersburg State University, who was named the most successful business woman in Russia last month. The University, which she has headed since 1994, provided the higher education to both Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev.
