Energy outlook 2012

Richard Jones – Deputy Executive Director, International Energy Agency

According to the International Energy Agency, the surging energy demand will most likely lead the world to a dire future. Oil reserves are running out faster than expected, and the growing fuel consumption raises environmental concerns.
But despite all the warnings, people continue burning coal and oil, and the promising alternative energy sector is still insufficiently developed. So, what is to be done to avoid that ‘dire’ future without dramatically changing our way of living? How can Russia help with that?

We’re asking the deputy executive director of the International Energy Agency Richard Jones.
