On May 17-th the Russian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia has signed the Act on Canonical Communion in Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. The two branches of the Church have finally restored their unity in the spiritual dimension. What is the real significance of this event for the Christian world and what were the obstacles on the long way to reunification?
