The catastrophe of the Costa Concordia, which was carrying over 4,000 people, has been dominating international media for more than two weeks. Some have compared it to the wreck of the Titanic that took place exactly one hundred years ago. Even now, search and rescue operations continue, as does the investigation into what really happened. The captain and first officer have been arrested.
So, what did passengers experience when the ship hit the rocks and started to sink? Is it true that the crew failed in their duty to ensure passenger safety?
