Unarmed Teen Fatally Shot in the Back, Cop Arrested

The Pittsburgh police officer who fatally shot unarmed 17-year-old Antwon Rose Jr. in the back during a traffic stop, killing him, was arrested Wednesday after being charged with criminal homicide. Officer Michael Rosfeld, who turned himself in, could face a sentence of 20 to 40 years in prison. Prosecutors said that Officer Rosfeld was never threatened by Rose. ‘Reality Winner’s sentence is excessive’ – CIA whistleblower Kiriakou

The 26-year old NSA contractor and Air Force veteran Reality Winner has made a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty in federal court to violating one count of the Espionage Act. She will serve 5 years in prison with 3 years’ supervised release. Stunning Loss: Germany Eliminated from World Cup

South Korea defeated Germany 2-0, costing the defending champions their shot at the World Cup. This loss became the first time the German team failed to make it out of the Group stage in a World Cup tournament. Mexico advanced to the knockout round despite being shut out by Sweden 3-0.
