The Senate has voted to re-open the government after a nerve-rattling 3-day shutdown. Top Democrat Chuck Schumer (D-New York) sought to claim victory by taunting President Trump and portraying him as ineffectual and absent. RT America’s Ed Schultz

DACA: Finding a permanent fix
Republicans say they’re willing to work with Democrats on securing legal status for almost 800,000 DACA recipients, in exchange for getting funding for a more secure border. President Donald Trump insists that at least a part of his promised wall will be built, one way or another. RT America’s Natasha Sweatte reports from the border.

‘Operation Olive Branch’: Turkey invades Syria
Turkey has invaded northern Syria to pacify US-backed Kurdish militias. At least 6 civilians were killed by Turkish airstrikes on Saturday. Russia’s Ministry of Defense points to Washington’s encouragement of Kurdish separatism as precipitating the Turkish action. Fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), formerly a US proxy in their anti-Assad effort, are involved on Turkey’s side. RT America’s Anya Parampil has the details.
