‘Operation Olive Branch’: Turkey invades Syria
Turkey has invaded northern Syria to pacify US-backed Kurdish militias. At least 6 civilians were killed by Turkish airstrikes on Saturday. Russia’s Ministry of Defense points to Washington’s encouragement of Kurdish separatism as precipitating the Turkish action.
