‘Americans welcome’: Iranians display anti-Trump, pro-US slogans on national holiday 

Thousands gathered in Tehran, Iran on Friday to mark Iranian Revolution Day, a holiday celebrated since the ousting of the US-backed Shah in 1979. While in years past, Iranians have expressed anti-American sentiments during Revolution Day parades, this year saw an outpouring of gratitude for those Americans who resist the Trump administration’s bellicose stance toward Iran.
