Obama to enact even more sanctions against Russia 

Anonymous US government sources told the Washington Post that the White House is finalizing a new set of sanctions against Russia in retaliation to the alleged hacks. But why would the outgoing president try to implement measures that could be simply reversed in the coming weeks? The Washington Post says that those working on the new sanctions are also working to make it harder from the Trump administration to roll back the move. RT America’s Alexey Yaroshevsky reports.

US and Israel engage in war of words over settlements and UN vote 

Secretary of State John Kerry laid out the US proposal for a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, less than a month before the Trump administration takes office and at a low point in US-Israeli relations.
