Most US citizens fed-up with election cycle, poll finds
Just a handful of Americans view the 2016 presidential election through rose-colored glasses, the latest poll numbers have shown. Seven in 10 people say they are frustrated by it, while over half, including majorities in both parties, feel angry and helpless. RT America’s Manila Chan has the story from Washington.
Workers’ win: Verizon Strikers to return to work following satisfactory deal
Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez has announced that a deal has been struck between telecommunications giant Verizon and unions representing 39,000 workers, ending a six-week strike over cuts to pensions and pay. For more on this, ‘News With Ed’ is joined by Peter Sikora, who coordinated the strike for the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union, and Edward Mooney, also of the CWA.
