Vaccine for fastest growing mosquito-born illness gets cleared in Mexico
World Health officials estimate that around 390 million people are infected with Dengue fever every year. The World Health Organization (WHO) says that the disease is endemic in more than 100 countries. Now, the disease has spread to Hawaii, with 150 cases confirmed on the island. Though the disease is rarely deadly, it is very painful and unpleasant. RT's Simone Del Rosario reports.
Over 164 refugees arrive in Canada, more expected
So far, Syrian refugees have come into Canada via private plane. Now, they are arriving via military planes, thus making the first official Canadian operation to bring refugees to Canada. Refugees will land in Pearson National Airport where they are expected to receive a warm welcome with multi-lingual information, winter clothing, social security numbers, and food, though it is expected the media will not be admitted entry.
