NHS – where to from here?

The NHS was the first universal healthcare system established in the world. The founding principle was simple: comprehensive, universal healthcare free at the point of delivery. Now it’s a political football shaped by the governing parties’ economic beliefs – and with something else at play behind party politics.

Is it now time to ask different questions about the NHS? Is universal healthcare just too important to be politicized? And do the British people really want a healthcare system that is held hostage by the profit motive?

Host Ross Ashcroft is joined by campaigner and producer of the documentary The Great NHS Heist, Dr. Bob Gill, and qualified doctor and NHS campaigner Dr. Sarah Gangoli.
