The deadly conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants shows no sign of letting up with Hamas and the IDF exchanging air strikes, as confrontations continue on the ground. It's a day of mourning in the Russian republic of Tatarstan after its capital, Kazan, is left reeling from a devastating school shooting that killed at least nine people including 7 children, and left more than 20 others injured. The incident has prompted a major review of the current gun ownership legislation by the Russian government as the suspect turned out to be a 19-year-old former student of the school, who was licensed to own a pump-action shotgun. A psychiatric assessment of the attacker is also being carried out, after he compared himself to a 'god' and a 'monster'.
