Trump admin ‘has to play along w/ sentiment in Washington’ – fmr diplomat

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during an ASEAN side-meeting over the weekend. It was the first US-Russia meeting since the US imposed the latest sanctions on Russia. Tillerson said Russian “meddling” in 2016 US election had “seriously damaged” trust between the two powers. Former US diplomat Jim Jatras joins “News with Ed” to discuss the future of US-Russia relations.

Have ISIS & Taliban joined forces? 

Afghanistan has seen a surge in violence in recent months. 50-60 people were killed this weekend alone. The attacks appear to be Islamic State militants and Taliban working together, although a Taliban spokesman denied the reports. RT America’s Manila Chan reports.
