‘We are at war with Russia’: EU Parliament approves resolution to counter Russian media ‘propaganda’
MEPs in Strasbourg have voted on a non-legislative resolution which calls for the EU to “respond to information warfare by Russia.” RT and Sputnik news agency were named among the most dangerous "tools of Russian propaganda." Not-so-non-lethal: Less than lethal crowd control weapons can kill at close range
Over the past few days we’ve seen increasingly heavy-handed tactics against waster protectors protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline at the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in North Dakota. The tribes and supporters are being met with fire hoses as sub-freezing temperatures, tear gas, pepper, spray and tear gas. But if these methods sometimes cause death, are they really “non-lethal?” To discuss, RT America’s Manila Chan is joined by Dr. Rohini Haar of Physicians for Human Rights and author of the book “Lethal in Disguise: The Health Consequences of Crowd Control Weapons.”
