Seattle city council member receives threats after calling for peaceful protests against Trump 
There are reports of violence against minorities across the United States after Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election. RT America’s Ed Schultz speaks with Seattle city councilmember Kshama Sawant, who received threatening and racist messages after calling for peaceful demonstrations and a boycott on Inauguration Day.       

Democratic Party in crisis after Clinton loss 
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is reportedly suffering a crisis of leadership after Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump in the presidential election. RT America’s  Anya Parampil reports that some of the figure emerging to replace interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile include former DNC Chair Howard Dean and Representative Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota), who would become the first Muslim head of the party.
