“Business as usual for the Democrats now” – Jesse Ventura on Sanders
With Bernie Sanders formally endorsing Hillary Clinton for president, it’s looking like there won’t be a fight on the floor of the Democratic National Convention. Many Sanders supporters are against the endorsement. One of them is former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, who joins “News with Ed,” and says that it’s “business as usual for the Democrats now,” and by endorsing Clinton, Sanders has gone against his anti-big business message.
Obama’s record on trade: Are his deals good for workers?
Vice President Joe Biden was in San Diego, California, promoting the Obama administration’s record on trade. Biden said that new trade deals will improve the US economy. RT America’s Manila Chan reports from Washington, DC and says that many saw the Biden speech as an attempt from the Obama administration to promote President Obama’s legacy of looking after the American worker, something most US labor groups disagree with.
