Haiti Resists Neoliberalism & “Russiagate” Drags On

Sara Montes de Oca reports on thousands of Haitians who took to the streets on Sunday demanding the resignation of Haitian president Jovenel Moïse in the wake of IMF structural adjustment reforms and the PetroCaribe fund embezzlement scandal. Sara talks to Jeb Sprague, Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Virginia, about how the clashes that left at least eight dead are part of a US-backed campaign of violence against the poor. Later, RT Correspondent Rachel Blevins reports on claims from former adviser to the Trump campaign, George Papadopoulos, that the professor who was at the heart of the Russiagate investigation may have western intelligence connections. Then Sara Montes de Oca talks to former UK member of Parliament, George Galloway, about why Papadopoulos would call the mysterious professor “western intelligence sent to entrap and make up lies.”
