NATO propaganda, a striking history, & BT drone links (E112)

On the eve of the NATO conference in Wales, Afshin Rattansi goes underground on the current tension between NATO and Russia. Former CIA agent Ray McGovern warns that NATO is subservient to the US and is subject to propaganda designed to drive the American agenda. We speak to Geoff Bright, professor at the Education and Social research Unit at Manchester Metropolitan University, about whether Britain's history of trade union action is being ignored by the education system today. We explore BT’s links to drone strikes causing death and destruction in Somalia and Yemen. We investigate Conservative party links to alleged arms dealers. We take a look at NATO expansionism, whilst leaders struggle with their economies at home. And we examine the extent of the ‘special relationship’ between the US and the UK, with FBI officers set to guard Britain against terrorists.
