The legacy of Tchaikovsky

At the age of 26 he became a professor at the Moscow Conservatory. His life was a curious mixture of success and failure, which is why he is inseparable from his music. Edvard Grieg wrote about him: “he is melancholic almost to the point of madness”. Not all of Tchaikovsky’s works were appreciated by his contemporaries but these days it’s clear that his legacy is tremendous. Find out more about the genius composer in The Legacy of Tchaikovsky.
