The Canal of Lost Hope (01.30, 09.30, 17.30)

The White Sea-Baltic Sea Canal is a ship canal that joins the White Sea and the Baltic Sea near St. Petersburg. It was built in the 1930’s and was the first major project built in the Soviet Union using forced labor. An estimated 100,000 prisoners were used for its construction. The true story of the canal and it’s modern-day use is the focus of "The Canal of Lost Hope" documentary.

The Amber Room (05.30, 13.30, 21.30)

It’s one of the most magnificent and mysterious masterpieces in Russia. It was lost during the Second World War. The search continued on the ground, underground, and even under water. It was recreated and unveiled in St. Petersburg in 2003. But the story doesn’t end here. Find out more about it in "The Amber Room" documentary.
