Meeting with nature: Shulgan-Tash

Shulgan-Tash natural reserve, situated in the hills of the southern Ural Mountains, has magnificent landscapes, exposed cliffs and forested mountains, green slopes, pristine rivers and mysterious caves. The Bashkirian people have upheld the tradition of wild-beekeeping in these mountain forests for centuries. The main direction of the work of scientists now is keeping and studying the Bashkirian wild hive bee and also guarding a unique natural and cultural memorial — the Shulgan-Tash cave, the walls of which have drawings of primitive men.
