Europe: spring of 1945

Sixty-five years have passed since the end of World War II, but those tragic events remain clear in many minds. Europe was occupied by fascist troops, while concentration camps had been set up in Poland, Czechoslovakia and other countries. Today the former camps of Terezin in Czechoslovakia and Auschwitz in Poland are museums. Those who were liberated from the camps, still remember the Soviet troops and their triumph in the spring of 1945.
