Deep water

Both professionals and amateurs search the water depths. Some dive for precious scientific research, others – to find artifacts from the past. In Ukraine’s Crimea, divers are looking for the sunken ships that have been lying on the sea bed since World War II. The waters of the Black sea hide dozens of Soviet and German ships sunk at that time. Professional divers work using special equipment – MIR-1 and MIR-2 submersibles.

These machines were designed in the Soviet Union back in the 1980s. The water craft can go down to a depth of 6,000 meters. Find out more about the underwater expeditions in a new XL Report on RT!
