Blasts in rush hour
It was a usual Monday morning in Moscow. The packed trains at rush hour were taking people from the suburbs to their workplaces in central Moscow. However, just after 07:00, two young women, Jennet Abdurakhmanova and Mariam Sharipova from the Republic of Dagestan, boarded the Metro. They later set off bombs strapped to their waists within 40 minutes of each other. The blasts took lives of 40 people and left more than a hundred wounded.
