Sick Victories

Sick Victories

This documentary exposes a system of legalized doping opportunities that has been available to and taken advantage of by many Western athletes. The investigation delves deeply into the problem to find that the medical history of many top athletes is in essence the product of falsification. Athletes are officially allowed to take performance-enhancing drugs through the Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) system, but these TUEs are most likely claimed for reasons other than the conditions they are meant to treat.

The documentary looks at the examples of the “medical records” of US star gymnast and 2016 Olympic champion Simone Biles (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), top Norwegian skier Martin Sundby (asthma), British cyclist Bradley Wiggins (asthma), Danish cyclist Michael Rasmussen (various conditions and traumas), and others.
