Oprah turned down a role because she wanted Lynn Whitfield to bring it to life
Lynn Whitfield stars in Greenleaf which just began it's fifth and final season on the OWN channel. Whitfield tells Dennis Miller how the role was initially written for and supposed to be played Oprah Winfrey herself! She tells us how Oprah picked her out specifically to play the role instead.
