Japan up in arms

Some political forces in the Japanese elite are hell bent on changing the country’s so-called peace constitution. For generations, Tokyo has avoided foreign wars due to pacifist laws reining in military and defense expenditures. This could change and Japan may again become a global military power. Is this good for Japan, the Pacific, and the world?
